We CAN Cancer Exercise Rehabilitation Programme

Join our bespoke exercise rehabilitation programme for people living with and beyond cancer.

There are many reasons why exercise is good for you. Research has shown that there is strong evidence that certain ways of being active can help people with cancer:

  • reduce anxiety and improve depression

  • reduce fatigue

  • reduce the chances of cancer recurrence

  • manage other health conditions

  • reduce disease progression

  • improve quality of life during and after cancer treatment

  • prevent or improve lymphoedema

  • improve general physical functioning

  • decreases mortality

We CAN is a 12-week group exercise programme designed to help you overcome the side effects of cancer treatment. Especially focusing on building strength, stamina, balance and improving the range of movement. Our sessions help create friendship groups, so participants can socialise with like-minded people who have gone through similar experiences providing support for each other.

The programme is delivered by a qualified Level 4 Cancer Exercise Rehabilitation Specialist.
